We mainly deal with retrofitting control electronics on continuous extrusion and accumulation blow moulding machines, replacing obsolete PLCs with a high-performance, latest-generation control system.
This intervention improves the long-term efficiency of the blow moulding machine, increases productivity and minimises machine downtime.

  • Upgrading and replacement of PLCs and HMI operator panels
  • Overhaul of wiring and electrical components
  • Improvement of production safety.
  • Integration with modern supervision systems

Upgrading electronic components in blow moulding machines

BSB upgrades blow moulding machines by updating their electronic components (PLCs) with new-generation technologies. This improves control precision, optimises cycle times and increases production safety, ensuring more stable and efficient production without replacing the entire machine.

Replacement of obsolete electronic components and control systems

Through the targeted replacement of obsolete electronic parts, BSB restores reliability and optimal performance to outdated machinery.
Each retrofit is designed to extend the useful life of the system, reduce maintenance costs and ensure the machine will continue to operate for many years to come, using the most modern control systems.

PSB Software

Compatibility with different types of machines

Back in 2017, BSB had already developed software that could be applied to most blow moulding machines of any brand and model on the market, with just a few software code integrations.

Based on this initial idea, we developed PSB (Performing Software Blowmoulding) using a MOOG MC600 Plus Series PLC with Quad Core CPU operating in a Codesys environment, “open” to communication via Ethercat with third-party suppliers and integrating an “OPC UA Server” that allows access to key management data (MES) on specific requests from the end customer.

The operator interface video pages have been created to make the system immediately easy to use, using a series of graphic ‘icons’ specially created on the model of currently used smartphones.

Production process information is collected on the most commonly used pages in a simple and immediate manner, avoiding the dispersion of the various machine parameters and wasting time searching for them by the operator.

The platform allows real-time monitoring of each stage of the production process and rapid and effective intervention in the event of anomalies via an alarm history.

Technical support

During the machine retrofit installation phase, we offer staff training on the practical use of our software, any preventive and extraordinary maintenance of the machine’s electronic parts, and assistance to operators in quickly diagnosing and resolving any faults they may encounter.
